MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT) -- A student at Middle Tennessee State University has been arrested on several serious charges, including Aggravated Rape.
The Tennessean reports that student Clinton Knox III was indicted by a Davidson County Grand Jury on one count of Aggravated Rape, one count of Aggravated Robbery, and two counts of impersonating a police officer.
Acting on an anonymous tip and armed with a sealed indictment, Murfreesboro Police arrested Knox Monday at a Wenlon Drive Apartment just north of the campus.
Few details about the case are available, but the Tennessean says the indictment asserts that Knox raped a woman and robbed her of cash while pretending to be a police officer.
The paper says Knox was recently named to a leadership position in the fraternity Kappa Alpha Psi.
Knox is being held without bond in the Davidson County Jail.
